ICTAZ Tech Excellence Awards Get K120,000 Boost from Sparc Systems
The Information Technology Communication Association of Zambia (ICTAZ) 2025 Tech Excellence Awards have received a major boost after Sparc Systems Limited donated K120,000 towards the hosting of this year’s event.
The 2025 ICTAZ Tech Excellence Awards set for 6 December at Intercontinental Hotel celebrate outstanding achievements by individuals and companies driving innovation in the ICT sector.
Speaking during the handover ceremony yesterday, ICTAZ chief executive officer Chellah Silavwe hailed Sparc Zambia for returning as a platinum sponsor for the second consecutive year. He said the Association values partnerships with institutions such as Sparc Systems that continue to advance the ICT agenda in the country.
Mr Silavwe noted that the ICT sector remains one of Zambia’s strongest economic performers, recording consistent year-on-year growth and contributing significantly to national development.
He reiterated that the ICT industry made the highest positive contribution to the preliminary annual GDP growth of 4.0% in 2024, accounting for 1.8%. He further added that Zambia’s accelerating digital transformation has attracted multinational firms such as Sparc Systems, which is headquartered in Malawi and operates across eight African countries.
And Sparc Systems Business Development Executive, Alice Satela Chikuwah, said the company was delighted to continue its partnership with ICTAZ in hosting the awards.
She reaffirmed the organisation’s commitment to supporting the growth of the ICT sector in Zambia, noting that this was their second consecutive financial contribution towards the event.
